Senior Vice President, PrologisChris Caton is the Senior Vice President, global head of Research and oversees Prologis’ formation of global macroeconomic, capital market and industrial fundamental trends and outlooks. Prior to joining Prologis in 2012, Mr. Caton served as vice president in Morgan Stanley’s research department, tracking global commercial real estate and REIT investment environments. While at Morgan Stanley, he also served as a vice president in Morgan Stanley’s private real estate department, researching U.S. and global real estate investment trends. Before that he served at CBRE as part of its investment strategy services group, researching U.S. capital market and real estate trends.
Mr. Caton is a member of the Urban Land Institute and PREA. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in economics from Boston University and Bachelors of Science in mathematics and economics from the University of Puget Sound. -

Show detailsThe Rutgers Center for Real Estate continued its premier conference series and hosted a landmark Real Estate Conference: The Mount Laurel Doctrine; Where We Are & What Happens Now? The conference brought together leaders in policy making, government, law and real estate on both sides of the affordable housing issue and examined the tensions that currently exist between municipalities and developers. Featured discussions by leading legislators, legal professionals, developers and planners, this event was for anyone dealing with the challenges and the road ahead for Affordable Housing in New Jersey.
The event headlined keynote speeches by Jonathan F.P. Rose, President and Founder of Jonathan Rose Companies, LLC, and author of The Well Tempered City: What Modern Science, Ancient Civilizations and Human Behavior Teach us About the Future of Urban Life, and Thomas Gleason, Executive Director of MassHousing. Rose discussed the need for each state to assess its affordable housing gap and provided strategies on how to overcome it. As Executive Director of MassHousing, the leading provider of affordable housing financing in Massachusetts and one of the largest housing finance agencies in the country, Gleason offered insights on Massachusetts’ highly successful affordable housing model and provided suggestions as to how other states can adopt a similar model.

Mitchell E. Rudin
Chief Executive Officer, Mack-Cali Realty CorporationMitchell E. Rudin joined Mack-Cali in 2015. Mr. Rudin is a veteran real estate investment professional with more than 30 years of industry experience. Mr. Rudin, along with his partner Michael DeMarco, is responsible for the strategic direction of the Company.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Rudin served as the president and chief executive officer of U.S. Commercial Operations at Brookfield Office Properties, where he was responsible for a portfolio in excess of 50 million square feet in eight major markets in the U.S. Prior to that, he served as president and chief executive officer of the New York Tri-State Region for CBRE where he oversaw the business and operating functions within CBRE’s largest region. Prior to that, he served as president of brokerage services for CBRE and oversaw its tenant and landlord brokerage operations for office, retail, and industrial leasing throughout the U.S.
His current professional affiliations include being a member of The Real Estate Roundtable, St. Francis Friends of the Poor Board; governor of Urban Land Institute; American Friends of the Israel Museum; NYC Police Foundation, American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC); and Police Athletic League. Mr. Rudin is recognized as a leader in philanthropy in the metropolitan region and has been honored by numerous organizations. Mr. Rudin received a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Franklin & Marshall College.

He received his B.S. degree in economics from Bemidji State University in 1981, and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Washington State University in 1984 and 1985, respectively. His principal research interests are monetary theory, political economy and macroeconomic theory. Prior to joining the Fed as research director in June 2009, Dr. Waller served as a professor and the Gilbert F. Schaefer Chair of Economics at the University of Notre Dame. He was also a research fellow with Notre Dame’s Kellogg Institute for International Studies.
